Drumming my fingers on the desk, I was impatient for my first class to start. Unlike some of my classmates who seemed set on putting in the minimum effort required, I was eager to get on with learning. I looked around at the sea of college-aged kids and wondered, how was I going to get through this?
I've locked myself in the large bathroom stall reserved for people in wheelchairs. Sitting on the toilet, fully clothed, I open my purse and pull out this yellow contraption. In the fifteen-minute class break when everyone else is inhaling their dinner, I'm preparing dinner for my five-month old son.
