My most precious keepsakes from the boys are the salt clay hand and foot prints we made when Thomas was 3 and Matthew was a newborn. They are just reminders of how small and precious these boys were at one time. They are now 7 and 4 and don't seem so small and fragile but rather big and hearty.

I'd have to say their first pair of shoes when they started walking. Precious!

My most precious keepsake is the little booties one of my friends knitted especially for my daughter--our plan was for her to wear them home from the hospital, but her feet were too big :-) They are proudly displayed in a frame in her bedroom and it always makes me smile to look at them and think of how my Sweetpea's feet were too big for baby booties ;-)

My twins were born quite premature and spend several weeks in the hospital. On Thanksgiving, the nurses gave us a card from the babies where they had used their very tiny handprints to make turkeys. My girls are 15 months old now but I still look at that card and realize how blessed we are that they are now so happy and healthy.

My oldest daughter made a reindeer doormat using her footprint at school when she was three years old. Each year at Christmas when I take it out to place in front of our fireplace I take a moment to just look at it and smile!

Unfortunately, one that I can't take with me - when my son was 2 months old, we poured some concrete in our home and stuck his little feet in. It kills me that when we move I can't take it with me! I have to make new portable versions like @mrspacman when my 2nd is born.

My oldest son made me a "jewelry box" out of food cartons (think 2 french fry boxes glued together) when he was in pre-school. It was one of those items that was so precious because he made it and was so proud of it. 2 years later he is still really proud that I keep my watch and important pieces of jewelry in it.

I have three children (one boy and two girls) and I can honestly say the most precious keepsake for each of them is their first tooth that fell out. I actually have a small box and keep them all, but it's that first little tiny front tooth that falls out this is "oh so precious". I'm sure they will one day think it gross that I kept them all, but I just can't seem to part with them.

I have a keepsake box that I keep their special loveys and first shoes in. I'm not great about keeping their baby books up to date, so at least they will have those when they are grown.

My 3 Grandsons were born in Spain. My now 6 year old Grandson gave me my Grandmother name that I will keep forever. "Buela" It will always remind me of their births in Spain and how different the Spanish culture is from ours. It was worth the long trip and not knowing the language to watch them arrive to a very excited Buela.

When my boys were born we placed their first picture, our hospital bands, their little hats and first binkies in a shadow box and put it on the wall in each of their rooms. Its a reminder of all of their "firsts" because I can't seem to get to the baby book to write down all of the other stuff :/

I have three children and I keep every note they have ever written..whatever the occasion-valentine, mothers day, sorry, santa list...they are all precious.

From my 12 year old son, my most treasured keepsake is an angel he made when he was about 4 years old. He made it using the "snowflake cutting" technique. When he gave it to me, he told me it was his father (who passed away) and that now we will always be with me. He showed so much compassion for a child so young. My daughter is just about 10 months old. My most treasured keepsake of her thus far is a photo taken at the hospital... It is a photo taken when my son first saw her and she was trying to look back at him. It was love at first site for those two.

The little outfit each of them wear right after they're born. It's nothing super special but they have all worn it and it's sweet! :) I also treasure those first little pictures I have of them.

My daughter chose a Yoshitomo Nara doll that I had intended to buy for myself at a museum show as her special lovey when she was about 18 months old and carried it along with her blanket until she was four or so. Now she still sleeps with the blanky but doll-doll was left aside so I put her in a special shadowbox to keep.

My most precious keepsake would have to be one of her curls from her first haircut.

My favorite keepsakes from the kids are their artwork. Their art is a snapshot of their imagination and their motor skills at that point in time and I just love looking at how they progress as they get older. Especially my daughter who is an amazing artist at 7 years old. I treasure every picture they produce.

I save everything, so all of their little clothes, shoes, small toys, pictures, hospital bracelets, etc are special to me.

I know this is cheesy, but my most precious keepsake is my daughter's smile. Just thinking about it, or seeing a photo of her smiling, brightens my day every time.

a handprint my daughter did in 3 year old preschool. it's of a turkey, each finger is painted a different color like the feathers, the palm & thumb are brown. it's so sweet and simple and her handprint is so tiny, it makes me smile every time i think about it.

My most precious keepsake for my son is his blanket. It just represents how much someone can love something! For my daughter, it would be the hair from her first haircut. She is 3 and still doesn't have much!

My son (who is almost 4) recently made a card in preschool for Valentine's Day. The teachers sent the cards home via regular mail so it was a real surprise! He wrote about us playing on his playmat together with his cars. It's amazing to see what he values from the things we do together. The card is a real keeper and definitely made me cry!

I have 3 kids and my mom made me shadowboxes for all of them with the cards with their birth stats from the hospital, a hospital shirt, I'm the little brother/sister for the younger ones, their first picture and other wonderful things. The kids love them and it always starts some great conversations.

My favorite items, I have to say, are artwork the kids have made themselves. I would need a shed to keep it all, but I have a few select items from each of their phases as they went from finger painting, to scribbling, to "staying in the lines" and drawing recognizable pictures. I keep them in a keepsake box for each child, and it is like a visual representation of their development.

I have movies I make of photos I take of the kids throughout the years. Those are my precious memories... it is the bits of memories that I have for them when they grow up.

When the kids were a few weeks old, we had our hands cast with theirs and box framed. I love looking at how small their little hands were - and how much they've grown.

My favorite keepsakes are his little first cut hairs, his artwork, and his baptism outfit.

Photos. We have so many photos on the computer, but there are a few precious baby pictures that we have framed in the house.

My favorite keepsake from each of my three boys are pictures of them. Each picture is different and they are not the 'portait' kind of pictures...they are snap shots that catch their personalities just right. Everytime I look at them I smile...

for my older son, cards and artwork and photos. for my younger daughter, photos so far..

my latest craze is to take my most precious photos and make them into photobooks online. my kids and extended family love to flip through all the books on the coffee table and recall the memories

The frame my son made at preschool this year with his picture in it. He was so proud to give it to us at Christmas time.

any art work they make with their handprints on it. I love when its for the holidays and I get to decorate with it year after year.

My most precious so far is a mother's day poem that had her footprints used as flowers.

Boy, I have so many things from my boys. I guess it would be hand print molds that were made in preschool and MDO. Thanks.

Gosh - there are so many...it's so hard to choose. It might be the first time my daughter drew a picture of me and her together. I just love our happy faces, the colors she choose, and her name printed on it. Captures her age and the simplicity that goes along with it...

My daughter's first Christmas dress and my son's first pair of shoes.

The first drawing my daughter made of me and her....with our smiling faces, pink skirts, and our hands drawn on top of one another bc we love to hold hands. Such a happy image!

My most precious keepsakes from my son was a lock of his hair from his 1st haircut. It's sooooo white and fuzzy - it looks just like cotton.

I love how they printed their little names...from the first scribbles to their high school signatures. Each signature reminds me of other moments and days gone by. I love the little pictures that they drew, and those sweet little hand tracings! Signatures through time inspired me to write and publish a book to capture those precious little autographs of each child. My book is called YESTERDAY---JUST YESTERDAY, a keepsake autograph book. It won't be necessary to dig through piles of school work, or several scrapbooks to find how their little signatures have changed over time. You will just need to reach for YESTERDAY---JUST YESTERDAY to find the treasury of their changing penmanship. (www.BlueberryIslandPublishing.com)

their blankies!!!

My favorite is their footprints from birth. It takes me back to the most special days in my life and the miracle of their birth.

So many things from each of my four daughters--pictures, artwork, snapshots. I love looking through photo albums. I love finding little spiral notebooks where they've drawn silly pictures, or we've played hangman or tic-tac-toe. Little snippets of time having fun with them!

My favorite keepsake of my daughter is a silver teething rattle that she used as a baby. It was given to me by co-workers as a gift for my new baby. My daughter loved biting on this rattle. It was the only thing that soothed her while she was teething. Nothing else would do. It has her little tiny teeth marks all over it!

She loved biting on that rattle. It was the only thing that soothed her when she was teething. Nothing else would do. It has her tiny little teeth marks all over it!

I have 5 children and I have the hospital bracelets I wore as well as the babies, plus the crib cards from the hospital when the were all born. FYI - my oldest is 26, the youngest is soon to be 10.

My most precious keepsake is my daughters hospital photo outfit. I have them scrapbooked in their album

My youngest is just 2 1/2 weeks old. I am lucky enough to have a best friend who is a photographer (like me!) and was honored that she was willing to capture my son's grand debut! Not only did the pictures turn out beautifully, but Heather was able to capture the love and connection between my husband and I. Thus far these pictures are my favorite keepsake. They may be a tough one to beat!

Photos are my favorite memories! I made sure that I took professional at all stages, 6wks, 2mo, 6mo, 9mo, 1yr, 18mo, 2yr etc.....not to mention all the snap shots!!! I love looking back over all of those photographs!!!
