3.  Wear an old, unmatched sock on your hand for dusting. Run your hand along crown moldings, chair rails on hard to reach crevices until the sock is dusty enough to throw out or wash and reuse.
4.  Gas stove top burner plates and grills can be cleaned by putting them in the oven the next time you perform the self-cleaning routine.
5.  White vinegar and a couple of drops of lemon juice is a great all-around cleaner.
6.  Vinegar, water, and a stack of old newspapers are all you need for sparkling windows.
7.   To loosen tough splatters in the microwave, insert a bowl of water and zap for a couple of minutes. The moisture and steam will loosen everything making it a snap to clean.
8.   Setting a timer for 30 minutes can keep you focused and motivated to get through must-do cleaning chores.
9.   To remove food stains from light wood and plastic cutting boards, slice a lemon in half, squeeze onto the soiled surface, rub, and let sit for 20 minutes before rinsing.
10.  For extra sparkle on stainless-steel surfaces, pour olive oil onto a cloth and buff.
