Kids remember the strangest things. Just ask a teen what they remember as a small child. They will tell you things that their parents did with them that were a big adventure. You can tell it has impacted them because it brings smiles to their face when they retell it. With summer here and kids out of school, it is the perfect time to do memorable things with your kids.
As a child, I loved the rhyming silly repetition of “Green Eggs and Ham” but not until much later did I realize what a true visionary Theodore Seuss Geisel truly was. I cannot pinpoint a favorite, but I have to say “The Sneetches” which helps children except people no matter how different, or “Oh the places you go” are 2 of my favorite. He has many deep and meaningful writings, and in his honor, I would like to share a few of my favorite.
The more items on your list, the better the chance you will feel overwhelmed and the better the chance that you’ll get nothing done. Long lists can be counterproductive unless you learn to view a different way.
Feeling like I could float out of this bed, what I just read clears the dark fog that has enveloped me since my mom died. For the first time since she died I feel like someone truly knows what I went, and am going, through.
Because let’s face it, these months deserve to be easy breezy!
